A $1,000,000 PERSONA AND A 10c MIND

Js! Who else?

If Clinton's camp is any good they'll take a page out of Lee Atwater's playbook and "strip the bark off that little fucker and make [sub Chris Rock for Willie Horton] his running mate."

It's kind of funny in a way. I know I'm piling on but I can't resist.

The post-racial Js really has Chris Rock make an anti-White joke in attack on Clinton to open the Apollo Theater fundraiser? For real? No, please! Stop. That's too fucking funny.

He had a pretty good week before that, clawing back a few points worth of liberals and he goes and does this? His whole campaign was based upon being Bill Cosby and all that entails. His whole campaign is antithetical to racial hardball. It must really be galling him how bad he's polling with Black Democrats and how well Clinton is. He's seriously taking the White vote for granted? No, come on. Well, someone who's so cavalier about the Democratic gay electorate must be equally cavalier about all blocs, I suppose.

Whatever ersatz appeal the Js has is based upon the post-racial jive. His vibe doesn't have any "fuck you" in it. "Fuck you" plays horribly when you are the "healer" in the race. Clinton, having voted for Kyl-Lieberman and having the most hawkish foreign policy in the race has bags of "fuck you" available. Edwards and Kucinich running fake and real left-wing campaigns, respectively, also have bags of "fuck you" to employ whenever they like. Dodd's balls-out stand against telecoms gives him "fuck you" to spare. Hardball plays great for those four and Biden's so crazy anyway that it's hard to tell where "healer" ends and "fuck you" begins with Joe. Richardson is the only Democrat who has to hew to a nice guy persona. A dollar gets a penny Riuchardson's not having Paul Rodriguez open his fundraisers with an anti-Anglo routine. For christ sakes', Obama has hardly led on racial issues to this point. He's been a very reliable accomodator to this point.

How ignorant must he be not to know that "Black" plays almost as badly with White liberals as it does with the greater White electorate? How ignorant indeed, specially given that the Js's success with MSM -- jeez his whole raison d'etre -- has been been because of his willingness to be the Uncle Tom in the race?

This is why Obama is such a show. He's going to mess this up just enough to remain in his Senate seat and also just enough to let me make a big bet on Fitzgerald at a lumpy price against him in Illinois 2010. Outstanding.

Chris Rock's joke was pretty funny, too. I'm not guessing Joe Klein or Wolf Blitzer found it that funny, though. A trip to the woodshed for the Js is coming to be sure.

Man, if this is the Js's idea of healing, what's his idea of throwing gasoline on the fire?

The Js vibe could not be more clearly captured and presented than it is in the following blow-job.

I would love for the writer to explain to me how Obama could be to Clinton's left and right at the same time at the level of some kind of Platonic ideal? The only way it works is if Clinton is to be judged upon her actions and her words and Obama is never to be judged on anything and can merely swoop down and criticize as he sees fit. This posture would also allow him to be immune from any criticism, one supposes. That's fine and mazel tov to him if he can keep that alive with the MSM. He's certainly not convincing the voters. Gary Hart is a good analogy here. He tried the same thing in 1984 and 1988 and was exposed twice when Mondale in 1984 and Dukakis, Jackson (from the left) and Gore (from the right) in 1988 asked the simple question: "Where's The Beef?" All Hart could come up with is "the tired politics of yesteryear" jive against Mondale and "aw fuck it, I'm going to screw Donna and we'll see what happens" against Dukakis/Jackson/Gore.

Obama is going to have to let the voters know where he stands. "Above all this" is not a stance. Not when you've completely tied yourself to the religious right, have gay-baited in the most brazen move of any candidate Democrat or Republican so far, and now have race-baited into a campaign that was notionally race-blind.

OK, I appreciated Chris Rock's joke, but I'll turn it around. If Clinton wins how can I face my gay friends and say "oh, jeez, sorry, I had the homophobic tunkele?"

Christ. Sorry. I've got the homophobe shit without a link. My bad. Here it is from a gay Democrat's blog, but a google of "Obama" "McClurkin" will reveal the whole story.

Senator Clinton will take those delegates whenever you're ready, asshole. Bota la baraja.

Here's a report from the ground. Last night I attended a dinner for a committee that I was appointed to by my county. Everyone at the dinner was a registered Republican, else they wouldn't be on the committee, because Republicanism is the name of the game in far south Jersey. I was at a table for 5, next to my rabidly liberal, bigmouthed wife, who I had asked to please watch her comments. Another couple, who I thought were staunch Republicans sat with us along with a woman that I knew was a Republican activist. We all avoided politics most of the evening, but then, the other coupled woman said, not so innocently, "It looks like our President has egg on his face, doesn't it." The activist said she didn't know anything about any Iran discussion. Then, she excused herself and left the table for a while. The other guy leaned over and said, "You know who I'm going to vote for? The Democratic nominee." He vented on the frustrations that many of us have about the current administration. Then, of course, my wife opened up. Then I joined in and so did the guy's wife. We talked about the knee-jerk Republicans that have their heads in the sand so they won't have to know what's going on. It was very interesting to have this conversation amid many other tables of knee-jerk Republicans, drinking and not caring about their country.

The thing I'm really scared of is that it seems that most people in the U.S. are not aware, by their own choice, of what's happening.

It's funny. I don't see this story negatively at all. I see it as the perfect example of the people being out in front of the politicians and MSM. I find it encouraging, not that I'm in a big hurry to move back.
