Kelso-mere broke her wrist, had surgery and is expected to be released from El Hospital Punta Pacifica/Johns Hopkins tomorrow morning.
A short, we hope, interregnum in the queue.

Thanks, HM. El Doctor Chaim (his real name, how great is that?) told me the operation was a success and that which we had feared about certain pulmonary problems were nothing to worry about.
Fuck it. A branch of Johns Hopkins Hospital less than half a mile away from my apartment. What was so good about America again?

Things looking good over at PUNTA PACIFICA/JOHNS HOPKINS. The operation was a complete success. She got a clean bill of health with regard to her other problems.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I am hopeful that Kelso, Sr. and Kelso-mere will be back in bed at my place in time for the 1pm kickoff.
One outstanding bit of irony even Kelso-mere in excruciating pain was able to enjoy. As I was translating for my mother the treatments agreed to by Drs. Chen (admitting physician), Mosquera (orthopedist) and Chaim (surgeon) and explained to them her various allergies and programs of medication, the LOU DOBBS program was playing in the background on her TV. Kind of hilarious in a twisted way listening to Dobbs, Casey Winan and Kitty Pilgrim prattling on about the horrors of the amount of Spanish spoken and the concurrent coarsening of American culture while in the presence of three exceptional Spanish-speaking doctors, each of whose IQ was probably double the sum of that of Dobbs, Winan and Pilgrim!
Of course, I had to ask, but, unfortunately, no, Dr. Chen is not related to MLB pitcher Bruce Chen (also from CdP). The doctor admitted that sometimes he pretends they are distant cousins.
