Many apologies for no links. The process for adding them is cumbersome and unwieldy with Blogger. Kelso doesn't particularly want to advertise anyone else's shit and everybody knows where to get all the cool stuff anyway. For the interested student, here are two good ones: whiterosesociety.com and baseballprospectus.com
Enough admin. Kelso would like to offer some opinions about Rick Santorum. He's crazy as a loon; who the hell would bring a stillborn child pickled in brine home for his children to play with? That ought to be game, set match right there. But set all that aside for a moment and consider his career. He beat a long-serving, liberal Democrat, Peter Kostmayer, for the congressional seat that covers Bucks County, PA. Think about that for a second. Buck's County is Key West with deer for God's sakes. A few terms in the House, then he wins a Senate seat, then he gets a leadership post. Make no mistake about it this is one talented and scary motherfucker. There are rumors floating around that he's gay, but Kelso is not ready to buy yet. A possible answer to his success locally aside from his obvious political gifts is that his chief-of-staff IS gay and helped Rick navigate the rocky shoals of Buck's County against a well-liked guy, Kostmayer, who himself is now out of the closet.
The bloom MAY be coming off the rose, however. On his book tour, Santorum got absolutely undressed by Stephanopolous on the subject of women in the workplace. The only feminist Santorum could name was Gloria Steinem. Gloria Steinem? She's about as much a feminist as any rich lady who fucks rich men can be. Hardly at the leading edge. She wasn't at the leading edge back in the day. Kelso knows many real feminists and Gloria Steinem has neither the gravel nor the guts.
Nevertheless, the Democrats are making a big mistake putting Robert Casey, Jr., up against Santorum, hoping to peel off some anti-choice votes. Robert Casey has as much chance against Santorum as Kelso does. Kelso sez: laying any price against Casey is a worthy bet up to 20/1 on. The old saw applies: the real Catholic crazy beats the fake Catholic crazy every time. Casey may have to bring TWO stillborn babies pickled in brine home to his family to even have a whisper of a chance against Santorum. Kelso thinks Howard Dean has good competitive instincts, but he's making a big goof here with Casey.
On to a competitive race, the AL West. Kelso and his average-sized nuts really likes Billy Beane's pitching staff. Weird as it sounds, Zito, Harden, Haren, Blanton and Saarloos really are as good a starting 5 as there is in the majors. The bullpen is lights out and with all that plate discipline and power they have ENOUGH hitting. Probably a true favorite from here to catch the Angels, but the Los Angeles Angels Of The Magic Kingdom Of The Mexican Part Of Anaheim have surprised Kelso before despite their complete lack of plate discipline, propensity to bunt even with a powerful lineup, and a shaky pitching staff. Texas and Seattle, adios.
The official Kelso's Nuts GOOF-BALL OF THE WEEK is a toss-up between Rafael Palmeiro and Robert Novak. They may end up sharing a cell.
Time for some real work.
And always remember that Kelso's Nuts love you.

I really hope Santorum doesn't get outed, lest it inspire another dozen crappy "American Beauty"-style screenplays, with the homophobe finally exposed as gay. Ever since McGreevey came out ("I am a gay, pees-sitting-down American"), any number of feverish Alan Balls have no doubt been typing away.
What is it with this truly bizarre phenomenon of closeted right-wacko Republicans? It boggles my mind (well, actually, my mind is usually boggled, but that's a whole 'nother story [sigh]).
Kelso's Nutz his is turning out to be one of my favorite blogs ... go for it dude !!
Folks:
Thank you very much for your comments. Kelso will take them in order.
(1) Still don't fully buy that Santorum's gay. Stand by viewpoint that his win in Buck's County (solidly gay and Episcopalian) was a result of a good Gay Sherpa and natural political genius.
Agree with you about Alan Ball, although Kevin Spacey did rule in that movie. Never got into 6' Under.
(2) G--thanks for the props. Kelso's going to continue or die trying.
